Richard Bray returns to Cambridge ArtSpace 5-7 with a new body of work, astounding audiences with the illusionary and unexpected quality of his remarkable sculptures, paintings and drawings — that seem to defy gravity and ripple in space and time. “There must be a way that everything can be revealed,” Bray reflects, “if you stop and look, you realise, some of the lines are very thin, sometimes imperceptible, both even and uneven, light and dark. It is only through working together that they create an illusion of form and structure”.

The dynamic quality of Bray’s sculptures, drawings and paintings challenge the viewer’s perception and depend on their perspective and position, as elements appear and disappear, are visible or invisible.
